Thomas Doxiadis gave a lecture in the Greek Consulate in Boston, USA,  where a special event was organized on Dimitris Pikionis, a legendary figure of modern Greek architecture.Dimitris Pikionis is an internationally recognized 20th century Greek architect, whose work has influenced generations of architects, historians, artists, landscape architects and other professionals.His most emblematic creation is the landscaping around the Acropolis and the Hill of Philopappou, which embodies his conviction to preserve Greece’s unique identity during a time when modernism prevailed. During this eventthere was an exhibition of rare archival material and lectures by the distinguished architects Alexandra Samaras and Thomas Doxiadis, both of them experts on the work of Pikionis.
